🔗 SQL / Python / dbt / Snowflake / Product Analytics Phantom is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to shape its consumer products through analysis, experimentation, and reliable data. The role focuses on collaborating with Product, Engineering, Design, and Growth teams to understand user behavior and guide product decisions. Analyze user journeys, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization to identify opportunities and recommend product improvements. Design and evaluate A/B tests, including hypotheses, success metrics, guardrails, sample sizing, and interpretation of results. Define and maintain product metrics while partnering with Engineering to improve instrumentation and validate underlying data. Build reusable analytical datasets and dbt models using SQL and collaborate on Snowflake, Dagster, and ETL pipelines. Use Python for statistical analysis, modeling, and automation while keeping work reproducible and documented. Incorporate AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor into analytical workflows. Independently lead ambiguous problems from initial question through analysis, recommendation, and measurement. 🔑 Requirements: 7+ years of experience in data science or product analytics with a proven record of influencing product decisions. Strong foundation in statistics and practical experience designing and analyzing A/B tests. Advanced SQL and Python skills for data exploration, statistical analysis, and reproducible workflows. Familiarity with dbt, data modeling, modern data platforms, and orchestration tools like Dagster. Experience using AI coding tools such as Codex or Cursor in regular workflows. Ability to independently structure ambiguous problems and communicate recommendations clearly to technical and nontechnical partners. 🛠 Nice-to-have: Experience working with Snowflake, including large datasets and query performance.
